IF IT DESERVES PAINT, ASK
WHERE IT STARTED
Before there was a shop, there was a '97 FXSTS — a Springer that earned its own name years before anyone thought about building a business around it. Tainted Love wasn't picked off a list. It was already what people called the bike, and it's still the daily ride.
Paisley in real silver leaf. A portrait worked into the pattern. White pinstripe pulled by hand along black fenders. That bike is the actual standard this shop gets held to.
WHAT WE DO
No package deals, no catalog colors. Whatever you're picturing, that's the job.
Complete tins, tanks, fenders, side covers, and custom parts.
Metal shaping, panel repair, certified (3G) welding, and hand-fabricated custom parts.
Full builds and modifications, from concept to finished machine.
Genuine hand-laid metal leaf — not vinyl, not a print, not a shortcut.
Hand-pulled lines, custom lettering, and fine detail work.
Murals, portraits, and one-off artwork airbrushed directly into the paint.
Strip, repair, prep, refinish, and bring tired parts back to life.
Signs, wall art, skid plates, fire pits — if you can design it, this table can cut it. Custom-built 60"x72" table, 1/16" to 1" steel, all in-house.
Prototypes, brackets, and custom printed parts.
Precision engraving on metal, wood, and more.
Decals, lettering, and vinyl wraps.
Small-scale powder coating for parts and hardware.
Maintenance, repairs, general service, and full bike builds.
HOW IT WORKS
Call, text, or email — send photos of the bike or part you're starting with.
We go over the idea, the condition of the part, and what you're picturing.
A straight answer on cost and timeframe before anything starts.
Your project gets a spot in the queue — no set hours, so scheduling stays flexible.
Prep, paint, leaf, pinstripe, fabrication — whatever the job actually calls for.

ABOUT RED
Everyone just calls him Red — short for Redwine, a nickname that came first. He's been painting — bikes, canvas, whatever needed it — long before there was a shop attached to his name. 2004 is when the motorcycle paint work started getting noticed, and Tainted Love became the identity that stuck to it.
The shop runs out of his own garage in Russell, NY, on the same bike that started it all.
TAINTED LOVE PAINT & CO.
Tainted Love Paint & Co. is built around hands-on custom work: fabrication-minded preparation, detail-driven finishing, and paint designed around the machine instead of pulled from a catalog.
Every project starts with what the finished piece should feel like, then gets built backward from there — old-school standards, whatever the customer actually wants.
FAQ
Depends on scope — a tank with leaf and pinstripe is a different timeline than a full build. You'll get a real timeframe once we talk through the project, not a guess up front.
Yes, on most projects. Details get worked out when we talk through the job.
Both work. Local pickup and drop-off, or ship parts in — we'll walk you through it.
Both. Tins, full builds, fabrication, or just one part that needs attention.
Strip, repair, and prep are part of doing it right — that's built into the process, not an upsell.
Either. Bring a fully-formed idea or just a rough direction — the design work happens together either way.
